Maria faith demands action and promotes the dignity of all humans as an important and vital Catholic social teaching.
"Maria is the most qualified and experienced candidate to represent ward 5. With integrity and strong values Maria always puts students education and well being at the forefront of everything she does. I am proud to be a parent in a Ward 5 school and to have Maria represent my family."
“Maria’s track record shows she is a champion in advocating for her school communities and has made many contributions to supporting equity, diversity and inclusion within the TCDSB. Maria knows this ward - She knows what schools need and she is determined to see that students succeed. She continues to be effective and gets results.
We need to re-elect Maria Rizzo.”
“Maria Rizzo is one of the most compassionate and understanding politicians I’ve had the pleasure to work with. Integrity is at the core of her being and she will move mountains to ensure children and adolescents are not only getting the best education a board can offer, but they are getting it in a safe, inclusive and accessible environment.”
“Maria Rizzo and I have successfully worked together to invest in school playgrounds; making TTC stops safe for students; adding new School Safety Zones; advocating for student nutrition funding, and adding more crossing guards. Maria is an excellent partner for the City of Toronto and a trusted representative who gets things done. “
